Kizik Exec Elizabeth Drori Talks the Importance of Fostering an Inclusive Culture: Women Who Rock

08:11 0

Kizik chief marketing officer Elizabeth Drori wants to ensure that all voices are heard and valued.

The industry veteran that joined the hands-free footwear brand last year from Sperry, noted that she focuses on creating opportunities for professional growth by encouraging women to take on leadership roles, setting career goals and providing mentorship along the way.

Drori also believes that the notion that some women don’t do enough to support each other is a myth. “I’ve seen countless examples of collaboration, mentorship, and encouragement among female colleagues, in industry groups, and of course among friends,” she told FN. “I don’t believe that there are a limited number of roles that are allocated to women – the perception of competition is a stereotype.”

As for what the industry needs to do to ensure women are rising to top positions, Drori suggested that it companies can address barriers is by holding leaders accountable for fostering an inclusive culture where people feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute fully. “Being aware of biases and ensuring promotion decisions are based on talent and potential is also very important,” she added.

Looking towards the next generation of leaders, the Kizik exec noted that it comes down to building confidence in future leaders.

“Empowering the next generation begins with building confidence —helping young women see themselves as capable leaders and decision-makers will set them up for success and have a ripple effect on future generations,” Drori said. “Representation also matters, so showing them role models who reflect their aspirations is crucial.”

How do you deal with stress?

11:06 0

If you opt for exercise, meditation, yoga, or journaling you’re on the right track. But do these activities out in nature, and their stress-lowering benefits go to the next level. In fact, just 15 minutes with nature is proven to have a serious de-stress effect! Whether you try them alone or with friends, here are 5 outdoor activities that are sure to help you unwind.

1. Walking In Nature

It’s no secret that getting daily steps in is good for you. It lowers stress, improves your mood, helps you stay in shape, and makes you more creative. But go outside, and the benefits of walking in nature are multiplied! One study found that walking in greenspaces can actually be meditative, while another study discovered that jogging outdoors makes you 2x as happy as working out in a gym.

Bottom line: If you’re dealing with stress, taking a walk around the block, through a park, into the woods, or on a beach can have more of an impact than doing it indoors.

2. Meditating Outside

Speaking of meditating, strolling through the grass or trees isn’t the only way to get your moment of Zen. It can be as simple as stepping outside between classes or meetings, putting your phone away, closing your eyes, and focusing on your breathing. Bonus mood-lifting points if you catch some sunshine while you’re at it!

3. Easy Stretching
If you’re someone who holds stress in your body, chances are it shows up as tension in your neck and shoulders. Sound familiar? Why not try some easy stretches to help relax your muscles while you’re outside meditating? You’ll get some amazing stress relief without having to do a full workout! Here are two of our favorite stretches that you can do anytime, anywhere:

Shoulder Rolls

  • While standing, roll your shoulders up, back, then down in a fluid motion.
  • Repeat 10 times.
  • Reverse it, rolling forward, about 10 times.

Neck Tilt

  • Sit down and relax your shoulders down your back.
  • Tilt your head to the right, extending your neck instead of bringing your ear to your shoulder.
  • Hold for 3 breaths.
  • Repeat on the left side.

4. Listening to Nature Sounds
If you’re feeling stressed and just want to chill, you might consider doing it in outside. Why? Simply listening to the sounds of nature can have a major mood-boosting effect!

Try sitting and hearing birds chirping, lounging and taking in the sounds of crashing waves, or standing outside with an umbrella and listening to falling rain.

5. Nature Journaling
If you’re looking for another nature-filled idea on how to be stress free, check out nature journaling.Kind of like the typical Dear Diary thing, but instead of just writing down your thoughts and feelings, you just keep track of what you’re seeing, hearing, and smelling.

You can do this while sitting in your backyard, perched on your front stoop, or anywhere in the great outdoors. It will help you get out of your head by letting you just be in the moment!

Can’t Get Outside?
You can still be with nature when you can’t be in it! Listening to nature apps or sound machines, looking at photos of outdoor spaces, or surrounding yourself with indoor plants can give you some of the same benefits of being outside in nature ! That’s why we’re encouraging everyone to get an instant boost of happy by spending more time with nature, wherever you can get it, and calling it

Kylie Jenner’s New Hairstyle Is Giving Jessica Rabbit a Run for Her Money

08:49 0

Kylie Jenner is channeling one of the most iconic divas of our time: Jessica Rabbit. One day after being spotted in tousled curls and a full Chanel skirt suit, the Khy founder decided to give her aesthetic a 180—creating an optical illusion that convinced me she was the latest celebrity to cut bangs.

In contrast to yesterday's carefree hairstyle, Jenner’s new look is sultry, sexy, and decidedly retro—an Old Hollywood-inspired glam that feels like the perfect complement to her vintage Alaïa bodycon dress. The knee-length dress was a combination of leopard print and velvet materials, with the latter creating a gorgeous negative space design and ending in a fur-lined hem. A soft brown smoky eye, neutral lip, cheek color, and pink nails fit for Valentine’s Day, completed the mom of two's look.

If you're trying to recreate this faux bang look (I know I am), I'm happy to report that it's actually fairly simple—and doesn't even require trim. Just give yourself a deep side part. “To get Jenner’s shiny curls, always start on clean hair,” says hairstylist and The Second Floor Salon owner, Rogerio Cavalcante. “If you’re using a tool like a Dyson or blow-out brush to get your curls, make sure to use a shot of cool air—this smooths the hair cuticle, enhancing shine and reducing frizz.”

Cavalcante also notes that applying a hair serum helps tame flyaways and enhances shine. Plus, a mist of light-hold hairspray will help keep your hair smooth while still allowing some movement.

Whether you want Jenner’s enviably shiny hair or just a few tools to perfect your signature curls, I curated a list of my go-to products for when I need a hairstyle that gives me my own Jessica-Rabbit moment. From hair glosses to oils and the curling wand that I refuse to live without, these items will give you the Kylie Jenner curls of your dreams.

Iris Law's porcelain doll transformation has to be seen to be believed

08:45 0

The model and actress is the daughter of Jude Law and Sadie Frost and has caught the hearts of the public (and the tabloids) with her brand of low-key cool.

Need a refresher on her iconique style? We're only too happy to oblige.

Iris's signature ice blonde pixie 'do has been accompanied by the kind of looks we're trying to emulate at home: from a totally see-through YSL dress in *the* shade of the seasona shredded white dress and cowboy boots, and an off-the-shoulder sculptural sequin gown.

We're always trying to find ways to shop her wardrobe, whether investing in Iris-approved brands like Peachy Dencopping our own roomy brown suede tote or adding-to-cart our very own pair of her beloved Missoma earrings.

However, her latest look might be a little more difficult to replicate IRL.

On the cover of Perfect Magazine, Iris rocked a dramatic makeover courtesy of legendary makeup artist and BBC's Glow Up judge Val Garland.

Looking like a legit porcelain doll, Iris rocked matte, pale face makeup paired with a dramatic matte red lip emphasising her full pout and perfectly curled, dark lashes.

The detail that legit had us gagged? The addition of perfectly drawn, caterpillar thin black eyebrows. Could this be the return of the skinny brow?

On closer inspection, we can see that these brows are drawn above Iris's bleached brows, which still reign as the main Cool Girl™ brow trend.

Looks like we're still safe from the skinny brow revival, no matter what this recent cover shoot (or Gabriette's seductively cool look) might have us believe.

The new product comes in eleven shades, sold both individually ($24) and as a custom set of four ($92).

The colors range from neutral light pinks to deep cool browns. Pick a shade that compliments your natural lip tone for subtle definition or a darker shade for a more contoured look. There’s a built-in silicone smudger at one end of the applicator, allowing users to diffuse the pigment seamlessly or tidy up the edges for added control.

What makes the product so unique is how multifunctional it is. Either follow the natural lip line, overline for extra volume or fill in the lips entirely. For nourished lips with a subtle tint, apply the Peptide Lip Shape then swipe on Rhode’s Peptide Lip Tint ($18). For a more pigmented look, start with Peptide Lip Shape, tap on Pocket Blush ($24), then finish off with Peptide Lip Tint. The soft-focus color blends with a creamy formula comprised of high-performance skin care to give the lips dimension and a signature contoured effect.

The formula is cruelty free, vegan, gluten-free and dermatologist-tested, and includes peptides to soften the lips and fenugreek extract to enhance the look of lip volume and give lips a firmer appearance.

Prada’s jaw-dropping spring 2025 collection had so much going on that it was hard to pick out a hero piece. Though, the shield-like sunglasses certainly commanded their fair share of attention. Leave it Gwendoline Christie to be amongst the first to actually work those glasses into her real world style.

This morning the actresses showed up to CBS’s New York studios in a pair of bug-eyed glasses from the Prada collection. Christie’s goggles, which she smartly paired with a simple wool coat, featured a geometric shape and a tinted effect. A bright blue raffia bag, also from Prada, added a pop of color to her look as did her choice of yellow kitten heels. Even her shoes were fairly quirky, with a sculpted, Jetson-esque detail at the back.

There’s nothing the fashion world loves more than novelty eyewear, and Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada’s latest collection was full of them. Like Christie’s interpretation, they showed the bug-esque pieces alongside twisted takes on stapled pieceds: think simple utilitarian bombers, mini skirts, and office button downs.

The designers looked to “elements from different eras coexisting simultaneously to challenge any theory of chronology, creating impossible contradictions, points of difference,” according to show notes.

If anyone is going to incorporate a wacky runway design into her day-to-day wardrobe, it’s going to be Christie. There’s always been a theatrical element about the actress, something no better exemplified by when she closed out John Galliano’s couture show for Maison Margiela last year. Perhaps that’s where she picked up a few pointers about translating runway magic into real life.

Platinum Hair Color Ideas That Will Change Your Whole Look

08:47 0

Among the best hair colors to try in 2025, platinum hair color stands out as one of the boldest and most transformative shades there is. Take it from celebrities like Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Camila Cabello, who have all debuted their own versions of the icy color to signal new eras. If you’re ready to change your look in the new year—but are tired of the regular blonde, brunette, and black shades—platinum blonde is the perfect way to hit a hard reset.

The best part? The versatile shade looks great on pretty much everyone. “Platinum hair color is an incredibly versatile option, with subtle adjustments to the formula depending on your skin tone and complexion,” says Renée Valerie, director of R+COLOR education. “It’s not just for cooler undertones—platinum can create a striking contrast on warmer undertones, resulting in a beautifully balanced look.”

What is platinum hair color?

As for what classifies as “platinum hair color,” Chase Kusero, cofounder of IGK Hair Care, says the shade is “the lightest shade of blonde.” Think: Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones. “Characterized by its icy, nearly white tone, it’s often called Scandinavian blonde or Scandi Blonde. It has little to no warmth, often featuring cool undertones like ash, silver, or violet.”

To get even more technical, Jennifer Korab, hairstylist and founder of Renaissance Salon & Spa, adds that platinum “is usually considered past a level 10 or 11 blonde.” Despite the lack of warmth, undertones can be changed according to the client. “Platinum could have either warm or cool tones, but it typically appears cooler and whiter,” she says. “Usually the undertone is chosen based off the person’s skin tone, and sometimes there can be hints of blue or silver for the cooler-toned look or for a warmer look the blonde can be a bit more golden.”

What is the difference between platinum hair color and gray hair color?

The biggest difference comes down to finish and undertones. “Platinum is a bright, silvery white tone, whereas gray has a denser, more opaque appearance,” says Valerie. Kusero agrees, adding that platinum is much more “reflective” than gray.

Rest assured, there will be no mistaking your platinum for gray. “Platinum hair color is usually very light and cool toned, appearing icier. A gray on the other hand is more neutral and has a wider shade range as some grays can be more silver or deeper dark gray,” says Korab.

What skin tones look good with platinum hair color?

Platinum hair color can flatter all skin tones; it just depends on the undertones you choose. Generally, Kusero recommends the following guidelines.

Fair: Cool undertones pair well with icy platinum shades.

Medium: Cool or neutral undertones look great with a soft, icy platinum to balance warmth in the skin. For golden undertones, a slightly creamy or neutral platinum works better.

Deep: Cool undertones shine with ashy or violet-tinted platinum, while neutral undertones look striking with soft, frosted platinum.

What is the platinum hair color process?

All three stylists start with a consultation to discuss hair type, hair color, and goals for the shade you’re trying to achieve.

“I always recommend consulting with your stylist first as the process can be different for each person depending on their hair color and health of the hair, or if you have previously dyed hair color,” says Korab.

Once you’ve done the consultation, the bleaching process begins. Be prepared to make multiple trips to the salon, depending on how much lifting your hair color requires. “Achieving platinum hair is a multistep process that requires lifting your natural color to the palest blonde,” says Kusero.

It’s important not to rush the bleaching process, as hair can be badly damaged by a botched bleach job. “Platinum is achieved by bleaching the hair, and it usually tends to require multiple sessions to get very light to prevent any breakage, Bleaching all at once can make the hair become gummy and even fall out,” says Korab.

How long does platinum hair color take?

According to Kusero, light hair will take one to two sessions, brunette hair will take two to three sessions, and dark hair will take three or more sessions over the course of about several weeks.

After the bleaching process, your hair will be treated with a toner. “Toner is used to remove any brassy tones, and depending on if you want to achieve an icier or warmer look the type of toner varies,” says Korab. “Anytime you are doing intense bleaching I recommend cutting the hair to make sure it stays healthy and to get rid of any split ends that can be amplified with light hair. Additionally, hair care is important with platinum hair. Make sure to use conditioning treatments to keep the hair from drying out.”

What is platinum hair color maintenance?

Sorry to all the low-maintenance hair color lovers, but platinum hair might not be for you.

“Maintaining the integrity and luminosity of platinum hair requires dedication, making it a high-maintenance shade,” says Valerie. “For a polished and chic appearance, touch-ups every four weeks are ideal.”

You’ll also definitely want to invest in new hair products that cater to your platinum hair’s specific needs. “I recommend using a purple shampoo to keep the tone icy, reducing heat as bleach can be damaging and drying, using deep-conditioning masks to help hydration, minimizing hair-washing to retain oils, and ending your shower with cold water,” says Korab. “Extra recommendation: A shower-head filter is beneficial in general. It helps get rid of any harsh contaminants that damage or discolor hair.”

Kusero recommends picking up the IGK Mixed Feelings Leave-In Purple Toning Drops and Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Leave-In Conditioner to keep your platinum pristine and hydrated. “Mixed Feelings Leave-In Purple Toning Drops are concentrated purple drops that banish brass and instantly tone blonde or silver hair when added to any cream styler. These are great for customizing the level of toning to suit your desired look,” he says.
